We were delighted to attend ‘An Evening At MK Gallery’ this week, touring the George Stubbs: All Done From Nature and ‘Ride High Take on Stubbs’ exhibitions. WSA has sponsored this display as part of its ongoing commitment to Ride High.
Ride High teaches vulnerable children and young people from Milton Keynes to ride and care for horses. Spending time with the horses reduces anxieties and increases positive thinking and wellbeing.
The exhibition features the artist’s most famous piece a rare loan of the National Gallery’s Whilstejacket, among other paintings drawings and prints. This is accompanied by a collection of art created by the children of Ride High, including a stunning collage decorated in the same shape as Whistlejacket.
WSA supported the cause by designing and providing marketing materials such as invitations, catalogues, press releases and vinyl advertisements. The WSA Digital Team also supported the cause by supplying social media graphics, teaser posts and Facebook advertising to help promote the event to local communities within Milton Keynes. Our team had a wonderful evening exploring both exhibitions, viewing the majestic work of Stubbs and speaking to some of the children who interpreted his masterpieces with some of their own.
The Ride High Exhibition, ‘Ride High Take on Stubbs’ is open to the public until 30th October 2019 in the Project Space at MK Gallery.
